The summer of 2021 should be a marked improvement from the pandemic-strapped summer of 2020, and your kids deserve perks after an isolated and awkward school year.
Anticipation for summer this year has a decidedly different vibe, stemming from the anxiety-filled, pandemic-induced, sheltering- and schooling-from-home year. School attendance and schedules varied throughout the country, not just from state-to-state, but city-to-city and public or private. The inconsistencies have resulted in many districts considering adding days to the school year. Many children had difficulty adjusting to virtual school, so summer activities that add low-key learning are especially beneficial.
Balance your summer activities. Be sure you have enough wind-down activities and reading material, too. If you travel with your kids, you can take them camping or for a visit to the national parks, but be sure you have a supply of anti-bacterial wipes and consider a portable UV wand. Clean hotel rooms or at least wipe down as much as you.

Amazon said it provides a tablet experience that will change with the needs of kids as they grow. Parents have peace of mind with flexible parental controls. Amazon's been busy. They had an announcement of upgrades and additions for Amazon Fire tablets for kids, and another for the upgraded Echo Show 8 ($130), Echo Show 5 ($85), and the new Echo Show 5 Kids, which offers parental controls, curated content, a worry-free guarantee and a new design.
Kids can personalize the home screen of their device, ask Alexa for homework help, make video calls to pre-approved contacts and set alarms to wake up to the voice of their favorite characters. The Sphero BOLT seems totally on point as a "character" from an earnest, early 1990's sci-fi comedy, so much so, in fact, that it actually feels like it might actually have been in movie.
